Rebecca's Song Cycle

As most of you know, I have been the Executive Director of VOX Femina Los Angeles, LA's premier women's choir, for nearly 10 years. VOX is an amazing nonprofit organization that gives women voice through the performance of quality choral music. VOX has commissioned over 60 new works for treble voices since its founding 29 years ago (an incredible contribution to the canon of choral music for women's voices), and serves over 1400 public school students with a variety of extraordinary music programs each year. But as you may already know, arts organizations like VOX are under attack and losing critical grants due to federal funding cuts. This translates to a SUBSTANTIAL loss in expected funding for VOX over the next three years (at least). Income from ticket sales only covers about 15% of the organization's costs and we always rely on individual donors to continue the meaningful work we do and the beautiful music we create--but now, we will need your support more than ever. To help raise funds for VOX, I am pledging to log 30 miles on my elliptical machine between now and October 5th! I truly appreciate any donation large or small to help me reach my personal goal of raising $2000 for this fantastic organization!
